The decade that spawned the likes of ABBA, Grease and flares was also the decade that saw Martin begin his career as an accountant.

Enrolling in a Business Studies degree in the UK, Martin managed to endure the bumpy transition into the ‘80s to finish his degree in 1982, notwithstanding the battles fought with bad hair, bad clothes and a love affair with the Who.

Over 20 years later, Martin still derives the same job satisfaction that coaxed him into the industry and enjoys the diversity that such a position allows.

Becoming a partner has been a notable career highlight, though others include working directly with the financial director of a major retailer in the UK.

Martin has been appointed to the Financial Reporting Panel by the Federal Minister and is a regular speaker around Australia for the Centre for Professional Development.

A man that enjoys the fruits of manual labour, Martin renovates in his spare time as well as escaping to the country and beach alike to unwind after his challenging restorations.
