Biography Originally from Ballarat, Richard commenced his accounting career with a local motor vehicle dealership until the lure of ‘bright lights and the big city’ led him to join a small Chartered Accounting Practice in St Kilda Road.
Throughout his career, Richard has enjoyed a range of Accounting positions both in Commerce and the Profession, diversifying for a few years as a Recruitment Consultant with a leading Melbourne Accounting Recruitment Agency. However his interest in medium and small business and the satisfaction of client servicing, ultimately returned Richard to professional practice, and he is currently Manager in the Business Advisory Service at Bentleys Melbourne.
Still a ‘country boy’ at heart, Richards recreational interests primarily involve outdoor activities. The summer sees him spending most weekend at the surf in Torquay where he had previously lived for a number of years, while in winter, Richard enjoys heading for the hills for some skiing, camping or bushwalking. Sailing is another keen interest of mine when the opportunity presents itself.
